Marcus Whitfield

Baltimore has won two Super Bowls in two appearances. See the winning seasons, dates, scores and the stories behind the Ravens’ championships.

The Baltimore Ravens have won two Super Bowls in two appearances: Super Bowl XXXV against the New York Giants and Super Bowl XLVII against the San Francisco 49ers. Their Super Bowl record is 2–0 through Super Bowl LX, played on February 8, 2026. Their most recent title came on February 3, 2013. ESPN’s complete results list records both victories and every subsequent matchup.

Ravens Super Bowl wins

NFL season Super Bowl Game date Opponent Final score
2000 XXXV (35) January 28, 2001 New York Giants Ravens 34–7
2012 XLVII (47) February 3, 2013 San Francisco 49ers Ravens 34–31

The season and game year differ because the Super Bowl is played after the regular season ends. Baltimore’s 2000 championship season therefore ended with a win in 2001, while its 2012 championship season ended with a win in 2013.

First title: Super Bowl XXXV

Baltimore beat the Giants 34–7 in Tampa on January 28, 2001. Linebacker Ray Lewis was named Super Bowl MVP, and the Ravens intercepted four passes while committing no turnovers themselves. The defense that had carried Baltimore through the season delivered again on the championship stage. The Ravens’ official XXXV history documents the win and Lewis’s award.

The championship came in the franchise’s fifth season: the Ravens began play in 1996. Head coach Brian Billick, hired in 1999, won the title in his second season in charge. Pro Football Hall of Fame team history

Second title: Super Bowl XLVII

Baltimore defeated San Francisco 34–31 in New Orleans on February 3, 2013. Ravens coach John Harbaugh faced his brother Jim, the 49ers’ coach—the first championship-game matchup between brothers as NFL head coaches.

Baltimore built a 28–6 lead, then survived a 34-minute stadium power outage and San Francisco’s comeback. A late goal-line stand helped preserve the victory. Joe Flacco earned Super Bowl MVP honors after throwing for 287 yards and three touchdowns. The Ravens’ official XLVII history

Does the Baltimore Colts’ title count?

No. The Baltimore Colts won Super Bowl V, but that championship belongs to the Colts franchise, which moved to Indianapolis in 1984—not to the Ravens. Baltimore’s football history includes both teams; the Ravens’ own Super Bowl total remains two. Pro Football Hall of Fame Colts history
